- Cook the fettuccine in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente, following package instructions. Reserve ½ cup of the pasta water, then drain the rest.

- Pour in the heavy cream while stirring continuously. Gradually add the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
- Toss the cooked fettuccine in the skillet with the sauce until well-coated. If needed, add reserved pasta water to adjust consistency.
