- ½ cup unsalted butter
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8-inch round cake pan and line with parchment paper.
- Melt the dark chocolate and butter together in a microwave-safe bowl until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk eggs and granulated sugar until fluffy. Stir in vanilla extract.
- Gently combine the melted chocolate mixture with the egg mixture.
- Sift and fold in cocoa powder until just combined.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
- Allow to cool completely before dusting with powdered sugar.
