  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and cocoa powder.
  3. Beat softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time and mix in vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually combine dry ingredients with milk; fold in chopped pistachios gently.
  5. Divide batter between prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. While cooling, melt dark chocolate with butter for the glaze.
  7. Once cooled, layer cakes and drizzle with chocolate glaze.
