  • 1 cup toffee bits (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  5. Fold in brown sugar and half of the toffee bits.
  6. Divide the batter between the prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Allow cakes to cool for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
  7. For the caramel sauce, combine sugar and cream in a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring continuously until smooth and golden brown.
  8. Assemble by layering cooled cakes with caramel sauce and remaining toffee bits.
