  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1 cup French fried onions
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Blanch green beans in boiling water for 3 minutes, then transfer to ice water to maintain color and crunch.
  3. In a large bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup, milk, and 1 cup of cheddar cheese until smooth.
  4. Fold in the blanched green beans until well coated.
  5. Pour mixture into a greased baking dish and bake for 25 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven, sprinkle remaining cheddar cheese and French fried onions on top, then bake for an additional 10 minutes until golden brown.
