  • ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast by combining warm milk and sugar in a small bowl, then sprinkle yeast on top; let sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add melted butter and the activated yeast mixture. Mix until just combined.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
  5. Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle, spread softened butter over it, and sprinkle brown sugar, cinnamon, and chocolate chips evenly before rolling tightly.
  6. Slice into rolls and place them in a greased baking pan; allow to rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Prepare cream cheese frosting by mixing softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla together; frost the rolls while they are still hot.
