- 1 lb ground turkey or beef
- 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
- 2 cups tortilla chips
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Optional toppings: sour cream, avocado slices, fresh cilantro
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground meat until fully cooked.
- Stir in black beans, diced tomatoes, chili powder, cumin, and garlic powder. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- In a greased baking dish, layer half of the tortilla chips, followed by half of the meat mixture and half of the cheese. Repeat layers ending with cheese on top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until bubbly.
