  • 45 medium Russet potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp butter (for greasing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with butter.
  3. Thinly slice the potatoes to about 1/8-inch thickness.
  4. Layer the potato slices in the baking dish, seasoning each layer with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and cheddar cheese.
  5. Pour heavy cream evenly over the layered potatoes until just covered.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
