Instructions

  3. In another bowl, mix buttermilk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Gradually combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. For the frosting, melt butter in a saucepan; add cocoa powder and powdered sugar with milk until smooth. Stir in pecans before icing the cooled cake.
