Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with paper liners.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat together eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Gradually pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients while stirring gently to combine.
  5. Fill cupcake liners about two-thirds full with batter and bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Allow cupcakes to cool completely on a wire rack before preparing the buttercream frosting by creaming softened butter and gradually incorporating powdered sugar and vanilla until fluffy.
