- 12–14 lb whole turkey
- 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1/4 cup fresh rosemary (chopped)
- 1/4 cup fresh thyme (chopped)
- 1/4 cup fresh sage (chopped)
- 6 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 onion (quartered)
- 2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 2 lemon wedges
Instructions
- Thaw the turkey in the refrigerator for at least 24 hours. Remove giblets from inside.
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C). Pat the turkey dry and rub softened butter all over it.
- Generously season with salt and pepper.
- Mix chopped herbs and minced garlic; stuff under the turkey’s skin for flavor enhancement.
