  • ½ cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
  • 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until combined.
  2. Roll the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs (about 1.5 inches) and place them on a lined baking sheet.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and sear meatballs for about 4-5 minutes on each side until browned.
  4. In the same skillet, whisk together beef broth, soy sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and seasonings; simmer while scraping brown bits from the pan.
  5. Return the seared meatballs to the skillet and let them simmer in the gravy for about 15 minutes until cooked through.
  6. Serve over mashed potatoes or rice, garnished with parsley if desired.
