  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 6 pitted black olives (for spider bodies)
  • Chives or green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Boil the eggs: Place eggs in a pot, cover with cold water, bring to a boil over medium heat, cover, and remove from heat. Let sit for 12 minutes.
  2. Prepare the filling: Cool and peel the eggs under running water. Slice each egg in half lengthwise and scoop yolks into a mixing bowl.
  3. Create the mixture: Mash yolks with mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, salt, pepper, and paprika until smooth. Adjust seasoning if needed.
  4. Fill the eggs: Spoon or pipe yolk mixture back into egg whites until heaping.
  5. Top with spiders: Cut black olives in half for bodies and slice additional olives into strips for legs. Arrange creatively on each filled egg.
  6. Serve & enjoy: Garnish with chopped chives or green onions before serving.
