Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large baguette
  • 1 lb thinly sliced ribeye steak
  • 8 oz provolone cheese (shredded)
  • 1 cup bell peppers (sliced)
  • 1 cup onions (sliced)
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the baguette in half lengthwise.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Sauté onions and bell peppers until tender and caramelized (about 5-7 minutes).
  3. Push the veggies aside and add the ribeye steak to the skillet. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder; cook until browned (about 4-5 minutes).
  4. On a baking sheet, place the bread halves and layer with sautéed veggies followed by the cooked steak. Top generously with provolone cheese.
  5. Bake for approximately 10 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  6. Remove from the oven, allow to cool slightly, slice into pieces, and serve hot.
